The head director of shivering weather last week landed a strong punch on thousands of Flagler County golfers.
As Bobby Jones once said, “Competitive golf is played mainly on a 5-and-a-half inch course: the space between your ears.”
He forgot to add that when the temperature is 30 degrees, the smart thing to do is stay home or go Christmas shopping. And most of us did. Not all, however, as you now will see.
CYPRESS
The holy grail of golf is the hole-in-one. So it was for Barbara Rapisarda when she aced the fifth hole at Cypress. She did it from 138 yards out after choosing her 5-iron.
Looking on with smiles and cheers were Joanne and Jack Antonelli, along with Sal Rapisarda.
Now you know why Santa was dancing that day.
