April 3
It’s in the bag
2:55 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny Shoplifting. A man was observed placing items in a shopping cart. This man then went to the sporting goods department and placed these items into the store’s bags.
With the items bagged up and in the cart, the man proceeded to leave the store, exiting through the garden center, past all points of sale. In the parking lot, the man was approached by one of the store’s team members. He admitted to the retail theft of 18 items totaling $88.67. This man was charged with retail theft and transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility without incident.
April 4
iPod lifted
1:10 p.m. — 3500 Block of Old Kings Road. Larceny. A woman told deputies that when her son returned home from school, he told her that his black and silver iPod was stolen while he was in weightlifting class.
When he began his weightlifting class, he changed out of his regular clothes and left his iPod in the left front pocket of his jeans. He placed everything in an unsecured locker in the locker room. When the class was over, he removed the jeans from the locker and observed that the iPod was missing. There are no suspects at this time.
April 6
Breaker box broken
12:30 p.m. — First Block of Smollett Place. Burglary Residence. A witness stated that sometime within the last month, an unknown person entered this residence and damaged some of the property. When he arrived, he realized there were several items damaged inside the residence. He contacted the homeowner to let her know of the incident. It was also said that it appeared someone backed a vehicle into the garage door, knocking the wheel off the track so the person could then open the garage door.
The unknown intruder then cut wires attached to the rear of the stove, the pipe from the water heater, ripped down the circuit breaker box and ripped the electric meter off the side of the house. There are no suspects at this time.
10-speed taken
4:45 p.m. — First Block of Round Table Lane. Burglary Residence. A woman advised that her 10-speed bicycle had been taken from inside her garage. This victim described her bicycle as silver, with wrap-around handle bars and extensions on each side, with red writing on the frame. This missing bicycle is valued at approximately $55. There are no witnesses and no suspects at this time.
April 7
Purse flies solo on turnpike
Noon — First Block of Princess Kim Lane. Property Lost. A woman was driving back to her house from a friend’s house, in South Florida, and told deputies that during her travels, she lost her purse.
The last time she remembered having her purse was the last rest area on the Florida Turnpike. The items are one large black purse valued at $25, a black wallet valued at $10, three credit cards, a driver’s license and approximately $300 in cash. All credit cards were canceled, and there are no suspects or witnesses.
