April 18
Working out just isn’t working out
1:15 p.m. — First Block of Memorial Medical Parkway. Stolen Vehicle. A woman was working out at the YMCA when she went to retrieve her keys from the board and noticed they were gone. She called her husband and asked him to bring her the spare set of keys from their residence as she attempted to look for the original set. Then the victim realized the car was stolen.

She spoke with an employee of the YMCA, who advised that a white female and a white male came into the YMCA and sat down. They were drinking coffee and looking through some brochures on the wall beside the keys. After viewing the surveillance footage of the parking lot, deputies saw that the two people that entered the YMCA had stolen the vehicle.

Watch out!
8:16 p.m. — 500 Block of South Old Dixie Highway. Larceny Motor Vehicle. A woman’s vehicle was stolen and recovered. When she retrieved the vehicle, she noticed that she was missing a watch that was in the middle console of the vehicle. She checked the contents of the car and was still unable to locate the watch.

April 19
Thief makes getaway on cruiser bicycle
11 a.m. — First Block of Eagle Crest Path. Burglary Residence. A man advised that an unknown person entered his open garage and removed his cruiser bicycle. The victim advised that the door to the garage was left open but the screen door was shut. He came back into the garage and noticed the screen door was open and the bicycle was gone. There are no suspects at this time.

THREE IS A MAGIC NUMBER
April 18
Fresh pry mark
2:30 p.m. — First Block of Winthrop Lane. Burglary Residence. A woman told deputies that an unknown person entered her residence sometime over the weekend and took three pieces of jewelry from three different jewelry boxes. The victim stated that nothing appeared to be moved or out of place inside the residence, but she did notice what appeared to be a fresh pry mark on the front door. Pictures were taken of the pry marks, and the woman completed an inventory sheet of the missing items. There are no suspects at this time.

Three bags full
10:16 p.m. — Palm Coast Parkway Northeast/Cypress Point Parkway. Traffic Stop. A white Hyundai Sonata with no taillights was traveling west on Palm Coast Parkway. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and smelled a strong odor of burnt cannabis emitting from the vehicle.

He asked the 17-year-old driver to exit the vehicle, and a search of the vehicle revealed a large, clear bag of marijuana stashed in a hidden compartment of the car. There were a total of three bags of marijuana in the car. The marijuana totaled 28 grams, and the young man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana more than 20 grams. He was released into his parent’s custody, and a court date will be set. The marijuana was turned in to evidence.
