Watch out!
10:22 a.m. — 600 Block of Palm Coast Parkway Southwest. Larceny Shoplifting. A loss-prevention employee at a department store advised a deputy of a shoplifting incident and provided him with the surveillance tape of the event. The deputy was able to see the four males walk into the store at 10:05 a.m.
After visiting several departments in the store, one of the young men took three men’s watches off the display and three women’s watches out of the boxes and containers.
After this incident, he left the store without paying for the items. Loss prevention followed the males out to the car and watched as they left the parking lot. A deputy was able to make contact with the suspect, got a written statement from him and placed him under arrest.
July 25

2:31 p.m. — 4000 Block of County Road 90. Burglary Residential. A woman advised that she left her residence secured at approximately 5:12 a.m., and when she returned home, she observed tire tracks in her front yard leading to the rear of the residence.
A deadbolt lock to the house had pry marks on it. Inside, the residence was in disarray; numerous items were scattered throughout the residence.
The refrigerator door was left open, along with the doors to the freezer and microwave. A total of $7,734 in theft was recorded, including 300 DVDs, a $1,000 amplifier, four electric guitars and roses made of crystal. There are no suspects at this time.

1:30 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny Shoplifting. A deputy arrived on scene in reference to a larceny. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the loss-prevention agent, who advised he had two males actively shoplifting.
The males were observed on surveillance entering the store, walking around and eventually selecting printer ink and paper items.
The males took the merchandise to the service desk, where they returned the items using receipts that were found in the trash and were several months old. The two males then headed for the exit.
One of the men fled, but the other was caught and charged with retail theft. Total amount of property stolen is $64.70.

Beer out
7:10 p.m. — 300 Block of Palm Coast Parkway Northeast. Larceny. A witness told police that she was behind the counter helping customers when she observed an unknown white male walk out of the store without paying for two cases of beer. She stated that she called out to the male, but he kept walking through the parking lot.
The witness advised that she has seen the man in the store before and believes that he is homeless. When the deputy was responding to the scene, he observed this man riding a bike. The man was identified and stated that he was not involved in the theft and does not know the suspect. The employee was unable to review the surveillance footage at this time. There is no more information at this time, and it is unknown who the suspect is.
