Aug. 5
Walking and entering
3:48 p.m. — First Block of Ranber Place. Trespassing. An older gentleman reported that a white male, approximately 5-foot-10, wearing a hat and brown T-shirt, forced entry through the rear door of the residence and then fled the area toward Rymfire Drive.
Upon further investigation, it was determined forced entry was not made, and the suspect entered the residence through the unlocked, French door. Upon entering the residence, the suspect observed that the residence was occupied and fled the scene. Several deputies responded to the area but were unable to locate suspects.
Aug. 6
Mow money
4:33 p.m. — First Block of Rolling Fern Drive. Larceny. The victim’s neighbor advised that he went for a bike ride and noticed the air conditioning on the property; upon his return, the air conditioner was missing.
Also while he was gone, someone had mowed the grass. The home is vacant and has been for a few months. The neighbor walked to the side of the home and noticed the interior coils of the air conditioner were missing. A search for foot impressions was conducted but met with negative results.
There was a tire impression associated with the lawn mower in the sandy area near the driveway. Fingerprints were lifted from the scene, but there was not enough to charge a suspect.
The Benjamin Cabinet
5:30 p.m. — 600 Block of Snowbird Drive. Burglary Residence. A woman stated that sometime between 1:30 and 5:30 p.m., an unknown person entered her residence through her unlocked, sliding glass door.
She arrived home and noticed that the cabinets in her kitchen, bathroom and bedroom were all partially open. The victim also stated that above her sofa in the living room, there was a cabinet containing a $100 bill. The $100 bill was missing upon her return home.
Thief is ‘SpongeBob’ fan
4:25 p.m. — First Block of Unity Place. Larceny from Auto. A woman stated that she believes her black 2003 Pontiac Aztec was locked; however, she discovered that several items were missing.
During the deputy’s investigation, no signs of forced entry were observed. Items missing from the car include a black, 9-inch DVD player with bag, along with “SpongeBob,” “Dora the Explorer,” and “Megamind” DVDs. Also taken was a debit card, an Outback $50 gift card, and two $20 Applebee’s gift cards. There are no known suspects at this time.
Aug. 10
That’s not going to work
2 p.m. — First Block of Butternut Drive. Property Damage. A victim reported that an unknown person keyed his van while the victim was away on vacation. When he returned, the victim stated that it looks like someone walked down the driveway with a key in his or her hand hand and scratched the passenger door and rear passenger fender of the new work van. Similar marks were observed on the drivers side. The estimated amount of damage to the van is approximately $500. No suspects.
