It’s no secret that I have a sweet tooth. But even some things are too much for me. I have had this chocolate chip cookie, Oreo, brownie concoction recipe languishing on my computer for a couple of months now, with no place to bring it. But this week, I was in charge of dessert for my small group. Perfect, I thought. They will appreciate this sugar overload of goodness.
As the group of adults sat around indulging in this ultimate blend of three of my favorite childhood desserts, it was clear that I was not the only one completely overwhelmed with this brick of deliciousness. The first time around I served the bar on a plate, with vanilla ice cream, which did an amazing job of cutting through the sweetness of the bar. (As if ice cream isn’t sweet.)
But on the second round, at the office, the bars worked perfectly as a finger dessert on deadline day.
HEALTH WARNING: This is not a diet-friendly dessert. A whole 9-by-13 inch tray is worth 318 points on the Weight Watchers Points Plus scale. If the tray is cut into 20 squares, it’s 16 points a bar. Eat at your own risk.
