Gold mine, gold yours
3 a.m. — First Block of Blairton Court. Burglary. A couple stated that they were on vacation and away from their home for a week in July. They stated that they locked all doors and windows when they left. When they returned home, the house was still locked, but she noticed that several pieces of jewelry were missiong, worth $6,550. Included in the items was a $2,000 diamond ring.
The jewelry box was on her dresser. Nothing looked disturbed. There are no signed of forced entry around the house, and no one had access to the house while they were away. There are no suspects at this time.
Aug. 13
TV ... or not
4 p.m. — 3300 Block of Old Kings Road South. Larceny Motor Vehicle. A victim advised that the motor home was burglarized. The man stated that he entered the vehicle and found that he was not missing any property; however, the interior of the vehicle sustained some damage from an unknown person attempting to take a TV from a cabinet.
The man then advised that a mirror was damaged, and six chrome doors on the outside of the vehicle had damage from the unknown person prying the doors open. The man estimated the damage to be approximately $8,000. No suspects.
Falling car wash
8:05 p.m. — 4800 Block of Palm Coast Parkway Northwest. Property Damage. A deputy responded to a car wash in reference to a car crash. The victim’s vehicle was in the drive-through car-wash bay, and the upper spray bar from the car wash was lying across the victim’s windshield. The woman explained that she was getting a car wash when the upper bar fell down, hitting the passenger side of the vehicle and then sliding across her windshield, causing a deep scratch. There was no attendant on duty at the car wash.
The deputy took photographs and then removed the spray bar from the woman’s hood, so that she could get her vehicle out of the wash bay.
Stay-at-home shoplifter
5 p.m. — First Block of Wedge Lane. Larceny. A woman stated that she was at her son’s house after doing some shopping. She set one of her shopping bags on her car and went into the house to help her son with some other items. When she returned outside several minutes later, her shopping bag was gone. No suspects.
Aug. 14
Doughnut try this at home
9:06 a.m. — 1300 Block of Rymfire Drive. Criminal Mischief. A deputy observed several tire tracks in the center of the soccer fields as well as a large soccer goal that appeared to have been knocked over.
It was determined that sometime throughout the night and early morning, an unknown vehicle entered the fields at the park. It appeared as though the unknown vehicle did several doughnuts on several portions of the field, causing heavy damage to the sod. A large soccer goal was also observed to be turned upside down in the northeast corner of the field. At this time, there is no suspect or vehicle information in reference to the above incident. There are several surveillance cameras throughout the park that may have recorded the suspects.
