+ Best Bagels & Deli leaves Palm Coast, opens in Ormond
Staff at Best Bagels & Deli announced Dec. 5 that is has closed its Palm Coast location, at 1000 Palm Coast Parkway, for a new store in Ormond Beach. The deli is now located in Ormond Towne Square, at 1474 W. Grenada Blvd.

+ Trainer starts weight-loss challenge, senior program
Personal fitness trainer Artie Gardella has launched a weight-loss challenge, “4 Losers Only,” as well as added a Silver Synergy Sit and Get Fit class for seniors.
Gardella’s 4 Losers Only program, which is supervised by doctors, currently has 15 residents registered.
“Many people struggle with their weight this time of year,” Gardella said. “This is the time to be proactive.”
The 4 Losers Only classes are held in six-week segments, with the next starting Jan. 6, at 1 On 1 Fitness, 3 Boulder Rock Drive. Call 931-3485.
+ Cardiologist joins Florida Hospital Flagler staff
Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Christiane Theilade has joined staff at Florida Hospital Flagler.
Theilade earned her medical degree from the University of Copenhagen Medical School, in Denmark.
She is fluent English, Danish and Spanish, and is also board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology. Call 586-4410.
+ New Windsor residence director: Donna Gibeaut
The Windsor senior-living facility of Palm Coast will welcome its new residence director, Donna Gibeaut, Thursday, Dec. 15, at a holiday party at 50 Town Court.
Gibeaut comes to Palm Coast from West Virginia, where she served more than 20 years as a residence director for another assisted-living community. Her first day on the job in Flagler was Nov. 22. Call 586-3501.
+ Gastroenterology adds new location, physicians
Advanced Gastroenterology Research & Endoscopy Center has announced the addition of a new Palm Coast office, as well as two new physicians to staff.
Dr. Samir Habashi is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He completed his residency at the University of Florida, Jacksonville, and received his medical degree from Aim-Shams University in Egypt.
Dr. Issam Nasr is board-certified in internal medicine and eligible in Gastroenterology. He received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, and his residency at University of Iowa Hospitals.

+ Karen Farell closes Infiniti, joins Re/Max
Real estate broker Karen Farrell, on Nov. 30, closed 3-year-old Infiniti Realty Group LLC in Palm Coast to join staff at Re/Max Oceanside. Farrell, who was named in the top 5% of all county real estate agents in 2010, has been in real estate for seven years.
