DEC. 1
Lock-plugging Bandit strikes
7:52 a.m. — 3000 Block of County Road 2006 West. Vandalism. A woman stated that between the hours of 3 p.m. Nov. 30, and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 1, someone damaged the dead bolt locks to her restaurant. There appeared to be a hard clay-like substance plugging the keyhole to the locks on both the front and rear doors of the business.
The woman also stated that they had been having trouble with a certain individual trespassing on the property, and that this person may have done the damage, but she had no proof that he did.
It was determined that the locks would need replacing, and that the estimated damage was approximately $250.
DEC. 2
Half a pill = jail time
1:36 a.m. — 800 Block of Belle Terre Parkway. Narcotics. A sedan was pulled over in response to the driver’s side headlight being out. The officer asked the driver if he had anything illegal in his vehicle, to which he responded, “No.” He then consented to a search of his vehicle.
Inside the vehicle was a backpack, which the driver said belonged to his cousin. He also stated that he had been using the backpack for “more than a couple of months” and that he didn’t mind if the deputy searched it. Inside, the deputy located a small white pill bottle, in which there was half of a rectangular white pill with “G3” imprinted on one side. The deputy identified the pill as alprazolam 2 mg.
The driver was then read his rights and was asked once again how long he had been using the backpack. He stated he wasn’t sure, but that it was more than a few months. He stated that he puts “papers and things in it for work and what not.”
The driver was placed under arrest and transferred to the Flagler County Inmate Facility.

Sack of pennies ... gone!
9:18 p.m. — First Block of Wood Amber Lane. Burglary residential. A victim advised that she had secured all the doors in her residence before going to bed the night before, and then went to work all day before returning home at approximately 9 p.m.
When she walked into her kitchen, the victim noticed that one of the sliding doors appeared to be open in the kitchen. Upon further investigation, she saw that the entire door frame was ripped away, and that there were several screws and chunks of plaster lying on the ground.
The victim advised that nothing appeared to have been disturbed and nothing was missing; however, her son stated that he’d had a small sack of about 300 pennies on his nightstand next to his bed. The pennies had been there when he left for school, but now they were missing.
DEC. 6
Mountain bike motored away
6:38 p.m. — First Block of Ruth Drive. Larceny. A victim stated that she parked her maroon electric-motored mountain bike in the driveway in front of her garage door and went into her residence. Fifteen minutes later, she decided to take her dog on a walk.
When she went outside, the bike was missing. She advised that she did not see or hear anything suspicious. The bicycle is unique and imported from China. It is valued at over $2,500.

Dec. 1
... watch road, not laptop
12:32 a.m. — 1000 Block of Justice Lane. Police vehicle damage. A deputy had just cleared a call from the inmate facility and was traveling on Justice Lane when he glanced down at his computer to see if any calls were holding.
When he looked up, he was at a curve in the road and was not able to stop the vehicle before running off the road, over a concrete culvert and into the woods. The car also ran over a guide wire for a street light located at the curve.
The incident resulted in damage to the front bumper and left side wheel well. The vehicle was removed from the wood line, and the power company was notified to assess the damage to the guide wire.
