Some like it hot
10:16 p.m. — First block of Pin Oak Drive. Burglary residence. The victim stated that he was in bed attempting to fall asleep when he heard his garage door activated and then a beeping sound from the keypad on his alarm system, signaling the door was open.

The victim stated that he saw a man at the foot of his bed — a man he recognized. He threatened to call the police, and the man ran out of the house through the garage. The victim said the man did not have time to steal anything.

The victim stated that the suspect is addicted to prescription pills.

The suspect was later located by deputies in Bunnell. He denied the accusations, saying he had not left his house since 8:30 p.m. that night. The deputy observed that the hood of the suspect’s vehicle was hot, as if the vehicle had recently been parked in the driveway after a drive. The suspect was arrested.

Later the suspect stated, “I didn’t think my truck was that hot.”
