Competing against 72 other Imagine schools from 12 states and the District of Columbia, Imagine Town Center received national recognition by winning the 2010-2011 Imagine Schools School of the Year Award for Shared Values and the Imagine Schools Runner-Up Award for Positive Character Development. The awards were announced this month during the Imagine Schools’ seventh-annual National Forum, in Phoenix.
Upon giving the Shared Values award, Imagine Schools’ CEO Dennis Bakke remarked, “During a recent luncheon with several Imagine Town Center students, I witnessed firsthand how this campus truly embodies shared values. When students can extemporaneously say what they mean and how the values apply to them, you know that this campus lives and breathes integrity, justice and fun.”
Additionally, Imagine Town Center received the Runner-Up Award for Positive Character Development.
“These two awards are very near and dear to my heart in particular, as they are the two awards esteemed deeply by our founders, Dennis and Eileen Bakke,” said Imagine Town Center principal Lisa O’Grady.
Imagine School at Town Center serves 855 students in Pre-K through eighth grade. Imagine Town Center is expanding its facilities to serve more students in the upcoming school year.
