Row, row, row your canoe
Noon — 6900 Block of North Ocean Shore Boulevard. Larceny. A man informed deputies that he watches this residence for a man who lives in Jacksonville, and that an unknown person entered the property and removed a 16-foot canoe and one cement mixer.
It appeared that the person entered through a gate that is accessible through the Beach Haven Community, which is under construction. There is an access road from Beach Haven Parkway that had a wire across the road to keep anyone from entering the property.
May 27
Going to be a lawn night
7 p.m. — First Block of Enterprise Drive. Larceny Motor Vehicle. A man employed by a lawn-care company stated that someone forced entry into the lawn-maintenance vehicle.
This unknown person stole numerous items, including an Echo backpack blower, two Stihl hedge trimmers and three Shindaiwa Weed eaters. The Weed eaters were valued at $300 each, and the hedge trimmers were valued at $300 and $700. Serial numbers for the items are unknown and there are no suspects at this time.
Strong case against this one
8 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny Shoplifting. A loss-prevention officer advised that he had apprehended an 18-year-old male for shoplifting and an 18-year-old female for being a principal to shoplifting.
The two individuals were walking around the store together when the male selected an iPod case valued at $19.88 and placed the case on his iPod. The two then proceeded to the front entrance, where they passed all points of sale and attempted to exit the store. The woman who was apprehended was issued a notice to appear and released. The male, however, did not have identification and was placed under arrest and transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility.
May 30
Too late to steal it, too
2:56 a.m. — 1500 Block of Palm Coast Parkway Northwest. Larceny. An unknown man entered a gas station and selected two cases of Natural Ice beer. An employee advised the male that it was too late to purchase the beer, and the suspect ran out of the store with the merchandise and without paying.
The male was wearing a white hat, white shirt and jean shorts. He entered a dark van, left the parking lot and drove northbound on Belle Terre Parkway. The value of the property taken is $14.98. At 4:03 a.m., a similar incident occurred at another gas station for the same type of crime, at which time the identity of the suspect was revealed. A search of the man’s vehicle revealed a can of Natural Ice beer, and the man was arrested for retail theft and transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility without further incident.
Marijuana in a bottle
2:45 a.m. — First Block of Fleetwood Drive. Narcotics. There were two bicycles traveling in the area of Fleetwood Drive; one of the bicycles did not have lights. A deputy activated his overhead emergency lights, and the males pulled their bicycles into a driveway.
The deputy walked up to the where the young man was standing in the driveway and observed a pill bottle right next to the bicycle. The deputy opened the ibuprofen bottle and found marijuana inside. The young man was taken into custody and released with a notice to appear. The other young man was given a verbal warning in reference to the bicycle violation. The pill bottle was seized and submitted into evidence.

Twenty lifted
9:12 p.m. — 3500 Block of Old Kings Road North. Larceny. A 16-year-old male from Matanzas High School informed deputies that during his second-period weightlifting class, he left his wallet unsecured in his pants pocket. He changed at approximately 8:24 a.m. and left the locker room area.
When he returned to the locker room to change at the end of class at approximately 9:12 a.m., he found that an unknown person stole a $20 bill from his wallet. There are no suspects or witnesses and this case is suspended due to lack of evidence.

May 27
… Even the kitchen sink
11 a.m. — First Block of East Diamond Drive. Burglary Residence. A man contacted deputies in reference to a delayed burglary. The victim works with a property services business overseeing foreclosed homes. When he returned to this residence, he found that it had been broken into.
There was extensive damage done while the suspects removed columns, countertops, the kitchen island, sinks, light fixtures and various other fixtures from the home. All of the appliances in the kitchen and side room were also taken, including the washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher.
