June 3
Chapped
11:57 p.m. — 100 Block of Waterfront Park Road. Narcotics. A deputy entered the park and observed a gold vehicle exiting the park. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle to find out why the passengers were in the park after 10 pm. The driver stated that they were going to the park to “hang out.”
There were two passengers in the vehicle, as well. The deputy asked them if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, and they all said no. The driver then gave the deputy consent to search the vehicle. While searching the vehicle, two deputies located a green metal pipe used to smoke marijuana and a plastic ChapStick container made into a pipe to smoke marijuana.
All occupants in the vehicle gave consent to a search, and nothing else illegal was found. The driver was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and issued a notice to appear. The two pipes were submitted as evidence.
June 6
Spy who came in with the molds
7:01 p.m. — First Block of White Star Drive. Burglary Residential. A man advised deputies that an unknown person entered his residence and took a 20-foot extension ladder and a large DeWalt shop vacuum. The unknown person also left behind a large number of plaster molds, filling half of the garage. The molds were placed neatly in the garage; few were damaged or broken. There are no suspects at this time.
June 6
Thief goes on an Odyssey
10 p.m. — First Block of Philmont Lane. Larceny Motor Vehicle. A woman stated that sometime overnight, an unknown person stole her purse from her unlocked 2004 Honda Odyssey van. The items stolen were a black purse with a black wallet containing the woman’s Florida driver’s license, several credit cards, about $10 in cash and a black bag containing miscellaneous cosmetics.
The total value of the stolen property is estimated at $100. No physical evidence could be gathered on scene, and there are no suspects at this time. No unauthorized charges have been made on the stolen credit cards, and all card companies have been notified.
June 7
Trunk o’ beer
7 p.m. — 5100 Block of East State Road 100. Larceny Shoplifting. Two young white males filled a cart with beer and walked past all points of sale without attempting to pay. One man got into a blue Honda Civic, while the other was seen putting the beer into the trunk.
Two deputies located the vehicle in the parking lot and read the men their Miranda rights. They advised that they understood their rights and were willing to speak with the deputies. One of the men stated that he was not aware the other man was planning to steal the beer. The total amount taken was worth $187.62.
The man who stole the beer was arrested for petit retail theft and transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility with a $500 bond. Both of the men were trespassed from the store and then released.
June 7
Tools of the trailer
Midnight — 5800 Block of East State Road 100. Burglary Investigative. A man stated that an unknown person entered the side door to his enclosed trailer and stole his Bose stereo system and several tools belonging to his son.
The man’s son advised that approximately $1,200 worth of various Craftsman tools were stolen from the toolbox in the trailer.
He also stated that there were a Craftsman hammer set, a Bosch hammer drill and several specialty tools missing. The customer renting the space next to him noticed the damage to the man’s trailer and notified management. Pictures were taken of the damage to the trailer door and entered into evidence.
