The FPC girls flag football team defeated Matanzas, 26-6, Friday, March 18, in a showdown of area schools.

Davis began the scoring when she caught a touchdown pass from Maeve Dineen in the second quarter, staking the Lady Bulldogs to a 6-0 lead. After a possession swap, Davis had a 1-yard touchdown run, giving FPC a 12-0 advantage.

With seconds remaining in the first half, Dineen and Davis connected again on a touchdown pitch and catch, giving FPC an 18-0 halftime lead.

The Lady Bulldogs (2-0) went on to win the game 26-6.

Dineen finished with two touchdown passes, while Davis finished with three total touchdowns and three interceptions. Riley Shugg also had an interception return for a touchdown.
