April 26
iPod stolen
9:10 a.m. — 3500 Block of Old Kings Road North. Larceny. The dean of students at Matanzas High School reported a theft of an iPod 4. A 15-year-old student stated that an unknown person removed it from her bag after first or second period. The security video provided deputies with no investigative leads as to who may have stolen the iPod, and the victim provided no witnesses or suspects. The missing iPod is valued at approximately $400.

April 28
Foiled!
Noon — 695 County Road 80. Burglary Residential. A man returned to his property on County Road 80 to discover that $100 worth of scrap aluminum, one water pump and two electric motors for the pump were missing from the shed in the rear of the residence. This rear-facing shed was left open and had no locking mechanism. Attempts to locate physical evidence, suspects and witnesses came back with negative results. Deputies suggested motion lights, better locks and possibly a fence. This area is under an extra watch.

April 30
Three sets of rims stolen
3 p.m. — 2800 Block of Sandlewood Lane. Larceny. A victim told deputies that he went out in his open barn and noticed three sets of rims and tires, for his Nissan pickup truck, and two full 5-gallon gas cans missing. The rims and tires were in different sizes: 17, 18 and 20 inches. These tires were stacked under a workbench in the man’s barn, which has no doors or sides. The victim bought the rims and tires online and was changing them around on his truck a few weeks ago. He told deputies that he got lazy and left them outside for approximately a week. He last saw the tires around 10 a.m. on the last day in April. There are no suspects at this time.

May 1
Real scooter, fake ID
6:18 p.m. — Florida Park Drive. Traffic Stop. A man driving a red scooter made a right turn onto Florida Park Drive without signaling the turn in moderate traffic. During a routine traffic stop, the male produced a fraudulent passport. In broken English, he stated that he does not have a driver’s license and that he has never had one, and he purchased the passport in Orlando for $130. He was taken into custody and transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility for processing. The scooter was towed.

May 4
Appetite for destruction
4 p.m.—5400 Block of North Ocean Shore Boulevard. Larceny Motor Vehicle. A woman told deputies that she was running errands yesterday when she stopped at a grocery store between 3:30 and 4 p.m. The woman had just filled her prescription of oxycodone and left the pills in her unlocked vehicle with the windows down while she went into the store. She came out of the store and noticed they were gone. The store does not have cameras in the parking area, and there are no suspects at this time.

MAILBOX MISCHEIF
May 4
Thunder and frightening
9:03 p.m. — First Block of Ferndale Lane. Property Damage. A man advised that while he was inside his residence, he heard a noise outside, which he thought was thunder. The man went outside and observed that his mailbox had been knocked over. He added that this is the third time this has happened.
The victim’s mailbox was lying in the driveway, and a few large rocks were scattered around. There appeared to be a piece of plastic from the undercarriage of a vehicle lying in the street, as well. When he exited his residence and went outside, he noticed what sounded like an import racing car some distance down the street, but he could not get a description of the vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.
