This is your brain on drugs
10:24 a.m. — 5500 E. State Road 100. Narcotics. At Flagler Palm Coast High School, a deputy requested a K9 search of the school parking lot. The K9 unit alerted deputies of a green pickup truck containing illegal substances. The deputies then found a 12-ounce bottle of beer, a pipe used to smoke narcotics, a file knife and less than 20 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle.
The 18-year-old student was transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility; the pipe, knife and marijuana were placed into evidence at the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Hide and seek with deputy
6:28 p.m. — First Block of Coral Reef Court North. Narcotics. A deputy observed a white Hyundai Elantra travelling north on Palm Harbor Parkway at approximately 55 mph in a 45 mph zone. The driver identified himself and was issued a warning for the speeding violation.
There were four teenagers in the car, and the deputy conducted a consensual search of the vehicle and of the persons in the vehicle. The deputy located a clear plastic baggie containing 22.2 grams of marijuana. He located this bag in the driver’s side door behind the door panel.
The 17-year-old driver confessed that it was his and that he had discovered a new hiding spot in the vehicle recently. He was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana in excess of 20 grams. His mother was contacted to make her aware of the incident, and someone arrived on scene to take control of the vehicle. This young man was transported to the inmate facility and the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Parking lot party
10:46 p.m. — 100 Block of Palm Harbor Parkway. Narcotics. A deputy on foot patrol at European Village observed a beige Nissan Maxima with its dome light on parked in the parking lot. The deputy approached the vehicle from the driver-side door and asked both the driver and passenger to exit the vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest referencing possession of marijuana under 20 grams and released on scene with a notice to appear.
Anti-groupie grumbling
7 p.m. — First Block of Old Kings Road. Larceny. A 19-year-old girl went to a friend’s party. While at this party, someone stole her new phone.
She described the phone as being a Sprint EVO 4G cell phone valued at approximately $500. She stated that a local singing group came to the party to provide entertainment. When this group came, the members brought along with them several other people who did not belong to the group.
She believes one of the group’s followers took her cell phone.

That is one big purse
7:51 p.m. — 100 Block of Flagler Plaza Drive. Larceny Shoplifting. The manager of a Flagler liquor store told deputies that while reviewing the security video from the store, she noticed that an unknown female stole $281 in alcohol from the store.
The suspect walked around the store and grabbed two bottles of Moet Nector Imperial Champagne valued at $55.99 each and one bottle of Moet Imperial Rose Champagne valued at $75.99. The female then placed the bottles inside her purse and went to the tequila section of the store. She placed one bottle of Patron Silver Tequila valued at $44.99 and one bottle of Patron Reposado Tequila valued at $48.99 inside her purse along with the three other unpaid bottles of alcohol. The security video will be entered into evidence.
