After giving up 20 points last weekend in the East Coast Conference Championship, the Flagler Falcons, a Flagler PAL Junior Pee Wee football team, got its defense back on track Saturday.
The Falcons shutout Venice, 12-0, Saturday, Nov. 5, in the first round of the playoffs. The Falcons advance to the next round of regionals.
The Falcons returned an interception for a touchdown in the first half Saturday, leading at halftime, 6-0. Then, they opened up the third quarter by scoring with a rushing touchdown.
“Our offense controlled the clock, and our defense shut their running game down,” coach Korey Kasch said.
The Falcons are 12-0 this season.
Next up, the Falcons will take on North Fort Meers Saturday, Nov. 12, as they continue their quest for a national championship.
