The day the music died
12:02 a.m. — First Block of Ryapple Lane. Larceny. A woman advised that her 8G iPod Touch had been stolen from a 14-year-old’s party she attended at the above address. She had placed her iPod in a dock that allowed everyone at the party to listen to the music, and at approximately 11:30 p.m. the music stopped, and she thought someone was changing the song.
Shortly after, the music did not turn back on, and the victim noticed her iPod was gone. She advised that one of the party guests, a possible suspect, left abruptly without telling anyone and believes that she may be the thief.
The party hostess tried to contact the suspect’s mother but was unsuccessful. She also checked her house for the iPod but could not locate it. Contact with the suspect will be attempted at a later date.

Bulldog sleeps on the job
5:22 p.m. — 3000 Block of Cranberry Avenue. Burglary residential. A victim advised that when she returned home to her residence, she noticed her couch was moved and her television was missing. After going through the rest of the house, she also noticed things had been rummaged through in the other bedrooms and bathroom.
It is believed that the suspects entered through the back sliding glass door; however, that door is locked with a rod so the slider can’t be opened. The rod was shortened, and there was some damage to the wood around the door.
The items stolen from the residence include a 47-inch television, a Halo Reach Xbox with two controllers, a Kinect Xbox and a Belkin wireless router, for a combined value of $1,680.
There are no suspects at this time. The victim also owns a large bulldog that does not let strangers into the residence, so she is unaware how the suspects gained entry.
