Cornelius Ramon Johnson, 23, was arrested Nov. 14, after he fled from Bunnell Police officers.

The incident report shows that Johnson was observed in what appeared to be a drug deal at about 10:30 p.m. The officers approached, and Johnson fled on U.S. 1. He turned left on Railroad Street, and the officers lost sight of the vehicle.

The officers then caught up to the vehicle at the intersection of Railroad and Court streets, where it had apparently struck and knocked over a stop sign. Johnson then got out of the car and ran, leaving sandals and a baseball cap behind.

The officers followed on foot, crossing U.S. 1 and running toward Moody Boulevard. Once the officers caught up with him, they walked Johnson back to his vehicle, where they discovered crack cocaine in a baggy in the cup holder. They also discovered a baggie of marijuana on the dashboard.

Johnson apologized. He was arrested and charged with two felonies, fleeing from an officer and possession of cocaine, and one misdemeanor, possession of marijuana (less than 20 grams).
