DeUndre Lumpkins’ five touchdowns not enough, as Bulldogs fall to 1-1 in the district.
DeUndre Lumpkins scampered for three touchdowns in the first half against Spruce Creek Friday, Oct. 7, but that still wasn’t enough for the Flagler Palm Coast High School Bulldogs football team.
The Bulldogs (3-3, 1-1) fell to district opponent Spruce Creek, 37-34, as the Hawks rallied late in the second half through windy conditions and downpours.
Though it was homecoming, Lumpkins, the sophomore running back for FPC, shined the brightest.
He ran for three touchdowns in the first half, five total for the game, and accumulated more than 250 yards on the ground.
The Bulldogs hope to return to the win column 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, when they travel to University High School.
