SEPT. 28
Two grand gone
9:33 p.m. — First Block of Louisville Drive. Burglary residential. The two victims of a home burglary stated that they left home at about 6:30 p.m. and, upon returning home, discovered a laptop missing, as well as several pieces of jewelry. They advised that no one has keys to the home and that it had been secured when they left.
No signs of forced entry could be found. One victim stated he could have left the front door unlocked that morning, but couldn’t be sure. The total value for the items missing is approximately $2,099.
SEPT. 30
Let’s take a peak under that baby ...
5:59 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny shoplifting. A security employee stated that he had observed the suspect selecting several fabric items and placing them under her baby in its car seat, which was located in the large portion of the cart. The suspect also selected a package of glue sticks and concealed them in a purple bag, which she had brought into the store with her.
She then selected several other items, which she proceeded to pay for at the checkout, but attempted to exit the store with the craft items still concealed. Upon searching her, the security employee also found two concealed rolls of ribbon. The total value of the items was approximately $88.47. The three children who had been with the suspect at the time of the incident were turned over to their father on the scene, and the shoplifter was transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility.
Plant-kicking bandit gets away
7:40 a.m. — Belle Terre Parkway/Royal Palms Parkway. Property damage. An officer responded to a call at a landscaping business in regard to 60 to 80 potted grass plants that had been thrown or kicked into the roadway and drainage ditch. The complainant stated that this had happened sometime during the night, and that the plants were originally lined up along the sidewalk of Belle Terre Parkway. Some of the plants had already been cleaned up by the time the officer arrived. There are no witnesses or suspects at this time.
OCT. 2
Holey tires!
5:51 p.m. — First Block of Russell Drive. Criminal mischief. A complainant stated that sometime during the previous night someone had slashed all four tires on her husband’s truck. She stated that he had confronted a group of juveniles that night because they were hanging out near a vacant lot in the R-section. After a verbal disturbance between her husband and the group, the juveniles left the area in a powder blue Jeep.
He then noticed early the next morning that his tires were flat, and upon further examination realized they’d been cut. Suspect information is unknown.
Airing complaints
11:22 p.m. — 6000 Block of State Route 100. Criminal mischief. A victim advised that, while she was at work, an unknown person by unknown means tampered with the fuel pump of her vehicle. She stated that her Dodge Caravan would not start and that when she looked underneath the car there was a box hanging down, attached to the fuel line, with wires showing.
The victim also stated that about a week earlier, also while at work, someone had let the air out of the tires on her vehicle by pushing in the valve-stem pin.
There is no evidence of the vehicle being tampered with, and no latent fingerprints could be recovered. The victim completed a voluntary witness statement and indicated that there had been some recent terminations at her place of employment and that the vandalism may have been in retaliation.
The are no security cameras where the crime occurred.
OCT. 5
No-kart
2:56 p.m. — 2000 Block of Elder Street. Larceny. An officer responded to a delayed larceny in which the victim stated that a go-kart had been taken out of his backyard without his permission. The go-kart has custom tail lights and a custom ignition switch. The victim claimed to have last seen the go-kart Sept. 30 and is unsure when it was taken. It’s valued at $700, and there are no suspects at this time.
