+ Rue & Ziffra to sponsor Flagler Beach Rotary’s charity run event
With a new office established in Palm Coast, the Port Orange-based law firm of Rue & Ziffra has signed on as a gold sponsor of the Flagler Beach Rotary Club’s inaugural 5K Run and Charity Mile Walk, scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 22. The event celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Flagler Beach Rotary Club.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers.
Funds raised from the race will benefit numerous Rotary projects, including student and adult scholarships, Project Share holiday gifts, dictionaries for third-graders and the Youth Leadership Academy.
Tickets, at $20 in advance and $25 on the day, will include a commemorative T-shirt, as well as a post-race celebration for participants.

+ Barton, Worrall named top agents for Weichert
Patricia Barton and Paula Worral were named Weichert, Realtors Hallmark Properties of Palm Coast’s top-listing and top-selling agents, respectively, two months in a row, for August and September.
Worrall was also the office’s overall Most Valuable Payer for September, taking the record both for most closings and for highest closed volume.
The top sales team in September went to Tom Granchelli and Jack Parsons.

+ Jackie Roy receives promotion at Edward Jones
Seven-year company veteran Jackie Roy has been promoted to senior branch office administrator at the Palm Coast branch office of financial-services firm Edward Jones, at 15 Cypress Branch Way.
Roy will now be responsible for providing client service, supporting office marketing activities and staying updated on technological advances.
COMMUNITY PARTNERS GATHER FOR FALL FESTIVAL
The Sleep Inn on 10 Kingswood Drive held a fall festival Saturday, Oct. 1, with fire trucks, firefighters, raffles and community partners.
About 150 residents attended, as well as 14 city firefighters and volunteers, who taught about fire safety and took photos with children in a smoke trailer.
The local businesses which participated in, or donated to, the event are as follows:
• Electric Boat Rentals gave away a free rental.
• Geela’s Jewels did arts and crafts sessions.
• Carmella’s Pizza gave away free pizza.
• Pizza Hut gave away free pizza.
• Flagler Parent Magazine gave away tickets to the Southern Women’s Show.
• Coquina Lanes gave away a birthday party for six, as well as free games of bowling.
• Wells Fargo gave out piggy banks for kids.
• Sleep Inn gave out grab bags.
• City of Palm Coast Parks & Rec gave candy to kids.
• Heather Franklin Photography did free photo shoots.
• MYA Rentals attended.
• Art & Soul Studio gave away a handmade plate and gift certificate.
• WNZF 92.7 promoted the event on the radio.
