You’re underwear arrest
1:20 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny shoplifting. An employee advised that he had observed two females enter the women’s department and start to select several clothing items. They then proceeded to the women’s underwear department and took several more items, which the employee observed one girl concealing in her purse. The girls passed all points of sale and were confronted by the employee in the parking lot.
The items recovered were three pairs of shorts, five pairs of underwear, and a swimsuit, the total of which came to $57.98. The girls were placed under arrest.
OCT. 2
Beach break-in
3:26 p.m. — 3000 Block of North Ocean Shore Boulevard. Larceny motorvehicle. An officer conducting a security check observed a red 2003 Infinity with the driver’s side window broken out. The officer made contact with the owner of the vehicle on the beach, who stated that nothing of his had been taken. However, a blue Coach purse, valued at $300, was taken, as well as $350 in cash, two credit cards, and another set of car keys that had been inside the purse. The victim advised he had only been at the beach for 30 minutes prior to the incident. There are no known suspects, and a canvas of the area was met with negative results.

Closet shopper
6:18 p.m. — First Block of Black Bear Lane. Larceny. A victim stated that someone entered her bedroom closet and stole a diamond ring. The ring had been inside a black purse hanging in the closet, and is valued at $1,625. The victim stated that she frequently leaves the front door unlocked for her teenage daughter. There were no signs of forced entry, nor any physical evidence to be collected on the scene.
OCT. 12
100 syringes stolen from refrigerator
8:53 a.m. — 4000 Block of County Road 305. Burglary residential. A victim stated that a door to his home had been kicked in, and his medicine was stolen. Upon examination, the door appeared to have been pried open, and, although the victim stated that the dead bolt was engaged, it sustained no visible damage.
The victim kept his medication inside a small refrigerator. Approximately 100 syringes were unaccounted for and valued at approximately $110. The victim stated that he was participating in a medical test study in which the eight bottles of insulin, also missing, were provided to him at no cost. The victim was unaware of any suspects.
Donut enter after dark
8:54 a.m. — First Block of Easthampton Boulevard. Property damage. An officer was called in reference to property damage at a golf course. An employee advised that an unknown suspect had driven onto the course on the 13th hole. It appeared the suspects entered through a cart path, leaving tire tracks that circled several times. The damage caused was estimated at $1000.
A set of crutches, a shovel and a white Quicksilver sweatshirt were found left on the ground, although none of these had any evidentiary value. The tire tracks were found to have a width consistent with that of a truck.
SCRATCH AND LIFT
OCT. 1
Hood-lum
2:36 p.m. — First Block of Riverview Bend South. Property damage. A victim advised that sometime in the night an unknown suspect took a BMW emblem off the hood of his vehicle.
There were also minor scratches on both sides of the vehicle, but it’s unknown whether the scratches were a result of the same night.
There are no known suspects and no charges, but the victim requested an extra watch be kept on the area.
