Who was that mascara’d man?
9 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny shoplifting. An employee advised he observed two subjects (one male, one female) taking items off shelves and looking around for cameras.
He followed them throughout the store and later saw the female subject open a box of Crest White Strips and conceal them in the front of her pants before placing the empty package back on the shelf. The male was observed concealing mascara in his pants pocket. The subjects then walked to the front of the store, passing all points of sale without any attempt to pay for the merchandise. Several other items totaling about $66 were found in their possession. The subjects were placed in custody and released on scene with a notice to appear.

Doorstop my beating heart
6:30 a.m. — First Block of Louisburg Lane. Burglary investigate. A victim stated that, after his wife left for work, he heard a noise coming from inside the garage and the pull-rope swinging back and forth. He then walked outside and noticed two yellow doorstops lodged at the top of his garage door.
The victim advised he has the same routine every day, jogging in a loop around the neighborhood after his wife leaves for work. The suspect appears to have known this routine and therefore may live in the immediate area.
Some handprints could be seen on the garage door, but attempts at retrieving any detailed prints were unsuccessful. The doorstops were confiscated as evidence, and neighbors have been warned to watch out for any suspicious activity.
