Wes Adams, a senior attackman for the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs lacrosse team, was named as a North Florida Lacrosse All-American Sunday night, in Jacksonville.
Adams is the first FPC player to receive All-American honors since 2005, when Luke Russell was honored.
The award garners national recognition, according FPC coach Ryan Andrews.
Adams is the vision and hustler for the Bulldogs.
“Wes as been a key asset to our success since his freshman year,” Andrews said. “Not only is he a great lacrosse player, but he’s also a tremendous kid off the field and it really has been an honor to coach him and see him develop into the leader and well-rounded young man he is.”
Adams has twice been named North Florida Lacrosse Player of the Week.
Aside from lacrosse, Adams is involved in Future Problem Solvers, Community Problem Solvers and has a 3.51 unweighted GPA.
This season, Adams has scored 30 goals, tallied 41 assists and scooped up 53 ground balls.
“Wes is an all-around player and does not have one specific position,” Andrews said. “He never comes off the field no matter how tired he is.”
