Spring-loaded
3:47 p.m. — First Block of Slogan Place. Burglary-Investigate. A victim advised that he left his residence secured around 8:30 a.m. and returned at 3:40 p.m. When he opened his bedroom, he observed that the sliding glass door had been shattered and there was glass on the floor.
The victim looked around the residence and observed several dresser drawers in all three rooms had been opened. Mattresses had been moved off the beds.
It did not appear that anything was missing. A check of the doors and windows found everything to be secure. Surrounding neighbors were unable to provide any additional information.
April 14
Give me a ring
1:47 p.m. — 700 Block of John Anderson Highway. Burglary-Residential. A victim advised that she was getting dressed to attend a banquet when she realized her three gold rings were missing from the jewelry box in her bedroom.
She went downstairs to say goodbye to her son, at which time she observed his bedroom window was broken beyond repair.
She questioned her son about the window, and he advised he had no knowledge of the damage. The victim searched her residence for any other missing property but found that nothing else was missing except the rings.
Her son could not recall if the residence was secure when he arrived home before her. There are no suspects and no evidence located at this time.
April 15
Key to crime prevention: Don’t lose it
5:01 p.m. — First Block of Regent Lane. Burglary-Residential. A victim stated she noticed her house key was missing April 9. On April 15, the victim left her house for approximately one hour. When she returned home and unlocked the front door, she found several items missing from the residence.
She first noticed her laptop, which was supposed to be on the couch, was missing. Her other laptop was also missing from the dining room table. Also missing were an X-Box, a Kinect and a television from the victim’s bedroom. The total value of the missing items was approximately $1,919.
There were no signs of forced entry, and latent fingerprints could not be recovered.
Unlocked, unloaded
10:15 a.m. — First Block of Rymshaw Drive. Larceny-Motor vehicle. A victim advised that sometime between the hours of 3:30 p.m. April 13 and 1:30 p.m. April 14, an unknown suspect entered his unlocked green Ford. Items stolen include a black and silver XM radio valued at $30, a Billy Joel CD and a children’s CD, worth approximately $20.
There are no known suspects at this time and no charges have been filed.
