REOPENED: A1A was closed for three hours due to a crash

A1A is now open.

A two-vehicle crash near Osprey Point in Beverly Beach caused both lanes to close for about three hours Aug. 2.

The previous release is as follows:

Southbound traffic at the Hammock Dunes Bridge on Palm Coast Parkway is being blocked, and only local traffic will be allowed. Motorists may travel north on A1A from the bridge. Northbound traffic out of Flagler Beach on A1A also will be interrupted until the crash scene is re-opened.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash that occurred around 12:19 p.m. Aug. 2.
