Blade runners
12:47 a.m. — 5000 Block of East State Road 100. Larceny Shoplifting. Two suspects were observed entering the sporting goods department and each selecting a $40 knife.
One suspect placed the knife he selected on the electric cart he was riding, and the other kept his in his hand.
They then proceeded to the health and beauty department where one of the suspects opened the knife and discarded its packaging. He concealed the knife in his waist band and continued to the front of the store.
Both subjects passed all points of sale and were confronted by a dispatched deputy when they exited the store.
Both subjects were arrested for shoplifting and transported to the inmate facility. One possessed what appeared to be a large dose of ibuprofen as well, which was taken to the Sherriff’s Office to be destroyed.
Skinny on the jimmy
9:08 a.m. — 300 Block of Cypress Edge Drive. Larceny Motor Vehicle. A victim advised that his vehicle was parked in a parking lot when an unknown person removed his wallet from inside. He advised that the vehicle was locked and that it appeared the passenger side lock had been jimmied somehow. The wallet contained $100 cash, the victim’s driver’s license and miscellaneous papers. He advised he will pursue charges if a suspect is found.

‘They were for you, Mom!’
5:29 p.m. — 600 Block of Palm Coast Parkway Southwest. Larceny Shoplifting. A suspect was seen selecting two pairs of earrings (valued at approximately $55) from a store display. He was then observed in the men’s department selecting a shirt from a display and entering a fitting room. Upon exiting the fitting room, the earrings were no longer in his hand and a store associate located the empty earring packaging in the room he had used. He then proceeded to the front of the store, passed all points of sale and exited.
Because the suspect was a minor, his mother was contacted and arrived on the scene. Both parties were informed that he will be contacted by the State Attorney’s Office.
