Moving, whether you like it or not
6:34 p.m. — First Block of Westminster Drive. Burglary Residential. A victim stated that he owns a home that is currently vacant and listed for sale. Investigation revealed that unknown suspects had entered the residence, perhaps through the rear sliding door, which was found to be unlocked. The suspects stole the following items: five ceiling fans, a bathroom vanity, glass top range, 600 square feet of carpet, a three-ton central air-conditioning compressor, a refrigerator and five ceiling light fixtures.
Contact was made with a nearby neighbor, who stated she observed a large Penske moving truck in the driveway on July 29 at approximately 4:30 p.m. She observed a male, female and small child at the residence at that time.
A canvass of the area for suspects was met with negative results.

Beach bash
1:15 p.m. — 3000 Block of North Oceanshore Boulevard. Larceny from Auto. A victim stated her rear driver’s side window was smashed (approximately $350 in damages) and her sea foam green purse, valued at $80, was stolen from her vehicle. She also believes her hand gun was in the purse.
She advised her car was parked next to a red sports car, similar to one that was suspected of previous car breaks and had been observed at a nearby gas station by an off-duty deputy.
Dispatch was advised of the victim’s incident and was able to track down the red Mustang traveling southbound on North Oceanshore Boulevard. An investigatory stop was conducted, at which time a purple camera was found that matched the description of the victim’s. The camera also contained photos of the victim and her family.
Two Phillips head screwdrivers were found in the driver’s side door compartment, and shards of glass were found in the center console. The victim’s credit card was soon found in the trash at the gas station as well. Both suspects from the sports car were placed under arrest, and both denied having seen or done anything out of the ordinary.
He got a ‘Ry’ deal
7:09 p.m. — First Block of Ryland Place. Burglary Investigate. A victim stated that his home had been burglarized while he was out of town. He was outside in his backyard smoking a cigarette when he noticed that the back door to the house had been tampered with. It appeared someone had made entry using a tool to get in.
At the same time, his girlfriend noticed that her iPod Touch, valued at $200, was missing. They both began searching the house for other missing items and discovered that the XBox 360 and its two remote controls, a Minolta digital camera, two counterfeit bills and a second iPod Touch were all missing, as well, and that the dressers in the master bedroom had been tampered with. The total value of the stolen items is $1,200.
A fingerprint was lifted from a picture frame next to the XBox and will be submitted to the state laboratory.
