AUG. 3
Something fishy this way comes
1:44 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny Shoplifting. A suspect was observed in the sporting goods department selecting a fishing lure. He concealed the lure in his right front pocket and proceeded to the front registers. He purchased one item and then proceeded to exit with the lure still concealed. He was stopped and escorted to the loss prevention office, where the lure and also a swivel aerator were located on his person.

The suspect had previously been arrested for shoplifting at the same store; however, a trespass warning had never been issued. He was issued a notice to appear and a trespass warning and released from the scene.

Sold out
6:25 p.m. — 6000 Block of East State Road 100. Alcohol Violation. While on scene, the defendant was approached by a juvenile working with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. The juvenile informed him that they were under the legal age to purchase alcohol. They asked the man to purchase alcohol for them, at which point he entered the store with $20 the juveniles had provided. He purchased a 12-pack of Bud Light for $15 and gave it to the minors. He was soon stopped by deputies in the parking lot, placed under arrest and transported to the inmate facility.

Junior thieves leave with retail between their legs
3:49 p.m. — 600 Block of Palm Coast Parkway Southwest. Larceny Shoplifting. Two females were observed concealing multiple items in their purses. Both girls passed all points of sale without attempting to pay for the items and were contaced by a loss prevention officer in the parking lot. One suspect had concealed $732.41 worth of merchandise, and the other had concealed $576.15. The items mostly consisted of fashion jewelry, juniors clothing and fragrances. The juveniles were taken into custody for aggregated grand retail theft and verbally trespassed from the business.

Because the girls did not meet certain criteria, they were later released to their parents with no incident.
