Florida Hospital Flagler’s walk-in clinic, Prompt Care, has provided 83 free physicals to the Flagler County Police Athletic League Pop Warner football and cheerleading teams.
Normally, these physicals cost parents $35 for a pediatric physical, saving the Flagler PAL Pop Warner families nearly $3,000.
“Every year, a local chiropractor performs sports physicals for us at a discounted rate,” said Jessica Kasch, Flagler PAL Pop Warner Football/Cheer president. “Florida Hospital Flagler providing these physicals for free has benefitted our participants’ families greatly.”
The PAL programs serve more than 300 kids per year and are managed entirely by volunteers.
Pop Warner Little Scholars Inc., is a nonprofit organization that provides youth football and cheer and dance programs for participants in 42 states and several countries around the world. Founded in 1929 and composed of approximately 425,000 young people, ranging from ages 5 to 16 years old, Pop Warner is the largest youth football, cheer and dance program in the world.
