The Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates has announced its eighth-annual Creekside Festival for Oct. 6 and 7.

Held on the shores of Pellicer Creek, the Creekside Festival averages approximately 15,000 visitors each year. Family-friendly activities include live bluegrass music, kayak tours, arts and crafts vendors, a photo contest and exhibition for high school students, diverse food offerings and children’s activities.

“Creekside Festival is one of our favorite events that has become a popular tradition for many,” said Rebecca DeLorenzo, the chamber’s executive vice president, who added that she has had "enthusiastic response" so far from sponsors and vendors.

In addition to the lineup of food, music and shopping, guests can visit the Flagler Home Expo, hosted by the Flagler Home Builders Association. There will also be a kids zone for complimentary craft projects and interactive fun. Call 445-9399.

Admission to the Creekside Festival is $5 per car at the gate or $3 in advance. Parking passes can be purchased at the chamber until Oct. 5.

There will be two entry lanes off Old Kings Road — one for prepaid passes and the other for day-of-event admission. Students from the Matanzas High School’s Legacy Program will work the gate, and the group receives 25% of parking proceeds for their efforts.

In addition to supporting this club, the chamber also donates 25% of all festival proceeds to Flagler County’s conservation of Princess Place Preserve.

The Creekside Festival will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.
