A theft, a hit-and-run and a burglary.

A lot of trouble for a haircut
3 p.m. – 1100 Block of Granada Boulevard. Petit theft first degree, $100-$300. The defendant entered a salon and received hair services. After receiving the services, the defendant told the owner that she didn't have the money to pay.
The owner made every effort to contact someone the defendant knew to could pick her up and pay for the services. The owner then notified the defendant that she was contacting the police, and the defendant attempted to leave the salon. The owner stopped the defendant from leavening and waited for police to arrive. The salon owner told police she wished to press charges for theft of services.
The defendant was transported to Volusia County Branch Jail because she had a prior failure to appear and as a result couldn’t be given another notice to appear.
Aug. 30
Watch out for cyclists
8:55 a.m. – First Block of Yonge Street. Hit-and-run accident with injuries. The victim told police he was riding his bike along U.S. 1 and was hit by a white car, which left the scene. The victim was unable to provide the officer much more information.
After he was struck by the car, the victim was able to push his bike to work where his coworkers found him going in and out of consciousness, and one of them called 911 to report the incident. The bike received minor damage, including a bent back wheel. The victim was transported to Florida Hospital.
Just some paperwork
9:45 a.m. – 200 Block of Riverbeach Drive. Burglary. An employee told an Ormond Beach Police officer that suspects kicked in the rear door to the business, and trim was damaged from the lock.
Police determined the suspect exited through the same door because the front door was found locked. The suspects took miscellaneous papers from the desk of an unlocked office. Everything else in the building appeared to be untouched. Officers contacted the resident in the house directly next to the business, but the resident didn't see or hear anything.
