Charges were officially filed against Deborah Brinkman, 59, of Ormond Beach, after she was arrested twice in one week in Palm Coast.

Brinkman was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, and reckless driving in connection with her Nov. 26 arrest.

She was also charged with fleeing or attempting to elude at high speed; aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer; leaving the scene of a crash involving an injury; criminal mischief ($1,000 or more); and DUI with damage, in connection with her Dec. 3 arrest.

Flagler deputies were called to a Walmart parking lot, 3:29 a.m. Dec. 3, in response to a woman driving around the lot.

A witness, who was picking up garbage in the parking lot, told deputies that Brinkman was driving around throwing out paper towels that she had defecated on.

She later fled the scene, attempted to run over a Flagler County Deputy and was taken into custody in a nearby Golden Coral Restaurant’s parking lot, according to Sheriff’s Office records.

Judge Sharon Atack signed a motion Dec. 5, to revoke bond, which was set at $23,000.

No trial date has yet been set.
