Kangaroo Express donates $110,000 to hospitals

In a Dec. 7 presentation, Kangaroo Express donated $110,000 to Florida Hospital, to benefit the Pink Army breast cancer campaign.

The funds were raised entirely by customer donations at 85 Kangaroo locations throughout October, in Volusia, Flagler and four other Florida counties.

Divided between each Florida Hospital location in each participating county, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial Medical Center, in Ormond Beach, received a $24,000 portion.

“We wanted every dollar raised to stay as close as possible to the community,” said Ossie Curington, regional sales director for Kangaroo Express. “This way, the dollars raised by residents help benefit other residents in need.”

“We are so grateful for the outpouring of support,” said Daryl Tol, Florida Hospital Volusia/Flagler CEO. “With these funds, women in our communities who are in-need will get access to lifesaving breast cancer services.”
