Hi Tulip Café is now open in Flagler Beach specializing in breakfast and brunch.
Billy Meyer, son of the café’s owner who is also named Billy Meyer, said the café prides itself in quality and freshness. Hi Tulip, according to Meyer, fills a niche within Flagler Beach that hasn’t been filled.
Meyer said the café prides itself on its expansive selection of eggs Benedict, omelettes, salads and wraps. Many of the recipes are homemade from Meyer’s grandmother, who also helps out in the kitchen. Also on the menu is a full range of lattes, cappuccinos and frozen coffee drinks, with plenty of seating inside and out.
In business since early December, Meyer said business is steadily increasing with some customers becoming regulars. As for the name? Meyer said it just sounded nice to his dad, and it seemed to fit the restaurant’s aim to have fresh, quality food at competitive prices.
Hi Tulip is open 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Sunday, 400 Beach Village Drive, in Flagler Beach.
