The best advice I ever received was, “It’s not how much you know that matters until they know how much you care.”
Teaching is much more than just imparting wisdom, but making sure you make a connection to the students. Students come in every day with their own life circumstances and problems, and it’s important as a teacher, and human, to show concern for them.
The advice always clicks in my head, and I realize that a computer can teach, but when dealing with people, I should make sure to show concern.
