Blades stolen — but not that kind of blade
10:25 a.m. — 5000 Block of North Ocean Shore Blvd. Larceny. A restaurant owner stated that sod had been installed at the rear of the business the day before. When he arrived in the morning, approximately 200 square feet were missing, valued at $200. There are no suspects, and the security cameras were not positioned to this area.
Pills pilfered
7:34 a.m. — 1000 Block of Sherwood Street. Burglary-investigate. A victim and his roomate advised that their house was broken into, and several items were stolen. They stated that they leave the back door unlocked because sometimes the lock can stick, and they believe this was the mode of entry and exit. Only one other person knows about the door: the woman who has been performing light housekeeping chores for the past two weeks.
When the victims returned home on this date, they found the following items missing: a PS3 gaming system and approximately 20 games, $200 cash and 181 prescription pills. All of the pills were kept in a safe, which had been pried open with what appeared to be a screwdriver.
After filing a report, the responding officer made contact with the housekeeper, who was cooperative in answering all questions and gave consent for her home to be searched for the missing items. The search was met with negative results.

Solar lights stolen at night
8:30 p.m. — First Block of Ramrock Lane. Larceny. A victim stated that someone rang her doorbell three times. She looked outside through her windows and didn’t see anyone but could hear someone walking across the stone landscape in front of her residence.
The victim opened her front door and noticed a male in dark clothing placing items, which she believes are her solar lights, in the back seat of a silver, four-door car. The victim had 10 solar lights located in the front part of her lawn; the lights are now missing.
The thief got into the driver’s seat and drove away, but the victim was unable to get the tag number. The total estimated cost of the lights is $100.
