Open a crack
9:30 a.m. — First Block of Bainbridge Lane. Larceny — motor vehicle. A victim stated that his Ford F-150 had been parked in his driveway overnight and may have been left unlocked. He noticed in the morning that the driver’s side door was left cracked open, and the glove box and center console were open and appeared to have been rummaged through. He also noticed his Michael Jordan motorcycle bag was missing.
The victim advised that inside the bag were his Florida birth certificate, credit union bank statement and a digital camera. No suspects have been identified, and there was no evidence left behind.
My shoe is an open book
8:24 p.m. — 800 Block of Palm Coast Parkway Southwest. Security patrol. An officer observed a male at a pump at a gas station. The male was familiar to him, and the officer was aware that he had been tresspassed from the business due to a previous incident.
The officer made contact with the man and observed four other males with him. All subjects consented to a search of their person. One of the males immediately advised that he had marijuana on him and presented two small plastic baggies of the substance, weighing a total of five grams, from his right shoe.
The other males were clean and cleared, while the inital male will be charged for trespassing. His friend is charged with drug possession under 20 grams and released with a notice to appear. All subjects were released at the scene.
FEB. 13
Under where?
5:23 p.m. — 2000 Block of Fig Street, Bunnell. Burglary-investigate. A victim advised that he had recently been arrested for domestic battery. He noticed around Jan. 31 that his final judgment, which he left on a clipboard lying in the kitchen, was missing from his residence. Around the same time, he noticed that his work clothes were also missing, along with some of his underwear. The value of the missing clothes is approximately $100.
The victim then stated that on this date, he discovered his truck was completely out of oil and that his septic tank had water seeping from it. He stated that it appeared as if someone had driven over the tank: There were tire tracks across it. He also noticed that the knob of his front door had been pried.
Although the victim is a respondent in an injuction for protection against domestic violence, he does not believe the protected person is involved with the incident in any way.
FEB. 14
50 ‘Girls Gone Wild’ DVDs stolen
11:28 p.m. — First Block of Raemoor Drive. Burglary-investigate. A victim stated that his residence had been broken into and that several items were missing. In the initial investigation, it appeared that there was no forced entry into the residence.
The victim stated that the missing items included two flat-screen televisions, a shotgun equipped with a folding stock and 12 rounds of buck, a safe which contained miscellaneous paperwork, the victim’s class ring and gold wedding band, a DVD/VCR player from the living room and 50 of the victim’s “Girls Gone Wild” DVDs from his bedroom.
The victim had a possible female suspect in mind, stating that some of her belongings had been removed from her room as well and that she was the only person who knew where the safe was kept.
The victim later discovered a bottle opener, which had been moved, from which the police department was able to extract a partial print to be placed into evidence. The approximate total value of the items stolen is $2,890.
