Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies were canvasing an area around Old Kings Road and State Road 100 for a man who robbed the Burger King Restaurant on State Road 100 in Palm Coast today.

Deputies said the man walked into the fast food restaurant around 2:50 p.m., ordered food and handed the clerk cash. When the clerk opened the register, the man grabbed an undetermined amount of cash when the employee was attempting to close the drawer. No weapon was seen, and the robber fled on foot toward the Flagler Regional Plaza, east of the restaurant.

The robber is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, in his mid-30s. He was wearing a light colored baseball hat, a blue shirt and gray pants. He is believed to have been a passenger in a small black Jeep Wrangler that was seen in the area.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 386-313-4911.

Service at the restaurant and a nearby convenience store was briefly interrupted immediately following the incident as employees secured their store doors.
