Marijuana hitches ride in britches
10:31 a.m. — 4500 Block of Belle Terre Parkway. Narcotics. A student was caught in possession of what tested positive to be marijuana in a clear baggie. The juvenile told the assistant principal that she had found it in her neighborhood, picked it up and took it home to her father.

When she showed the bag to him, he did not take it, and so she put it back in her pocket. Today, she wore the same pants that she had on yesterday, and so the baggie was still there.

School officials were notified of this when another student observed the baggie fall out of her pocket in class and completed a statement for the school.

A juvenile citation was completed in lieu of criminal charges, taking into consideration that the student had no prior discipline issues and the amount in possession was less than 20 grams.
