The Palm Coast Tennis Center is run by Kemper Sports, but it’s been a hotly discussed item by residents and city officials.
Kemper Sports took over the facility in January, just weeks after the two tennis professionals resigned. Still, the city hosted the USTA Futures event for the third consecutive year.
Now, city officials want to know how the Tennis Center can make the city money.
Kemper Sports will give a presentation at Tuesday’s City Council workshop. It is the second item on the agenda.
The first item is a presentation by the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates.
The City Council will set the preliminary tax rate as budget discussions ramp up heading into August.
Also at Tuesday’s workshop, the City Council will see a $330,412.50 contract to replace a major structure on Bird of Paradise and will also vote to renew a one-year agreement for the Business Assistance Center.
The meeting gets under way at 9 a.m. Tuesday, at City Offices, 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite B-106.
