Despite an improbable comeback from 10 runs down, the Palm Coast Little League Juniors All-Stars didn’t begin the postseason as planned Monday night against DeBary.

Coach David Febus needed to use four pitchers to get through the first two innings.

After four innings, Palm Coast trailed, 14-4.

But Palm Coast began a rally in the fifth. Febus’ team rallied all the way back, and in the seventh inning, Palm Coast trailed 17-15 with the bases loaded and two outs.

DeBary was able to hang on for the final out, however, and Palm Coast suffered a loss in the opening game of the postseason.

Palm Coast traveled to play 7 p.m. Tuesday, in Eustis, and lost 13-1. Palm Coast has been eliminated from the All-Stars playoffs.
