The Tour de France is heating up overseas, but closer to home, bicycle and outdoors enthusiasts can get a local dose of cycling fever later this month when the city hosts its second-annual Tour de Palm Coast.

Bring your bicycle and your smart phone 8 a.m. Saturday, July 21, to Graham Swamp Trail, for a unique outdoor experience.

This year’s tour includes exploring the mysteries and beauty at the Graham Swamp Trail.

New QR code signs have been installed strategically along the trail to encourage bikers to connect and discover several historical and geological facts. Visitors can simply scan the signs using a bar code scanner for their smart phones. There’ll be so much to see and learn along the trail.

The Tour de Palm Coast is just one activity during a month-long series of events as part of the city’s parks and recreation month.

To join in this experience, meet city staff July 21, at the Graham Swamp Trailhead, located one mile south of Palm Coast Parkway on the east side of Old King Road.
