+ Flagler Palm Coast grads get engaged
Trevor Martin, son of Terri Martin, of Flagler Beach, recently got engaged to Megan Noblitt, daughter of Mary and the late James Noblitt, of Ormond Beach. After nearly 15 years of courting, Martin proposed in the rose petal-lined gardens of Flagler Memorial Church in St. Augustine, following a moonlit carriage ride through the city. They have set a date for October 2013.
+ Happy 100th birthday!
Vera Driscoll celebrated her 100th birthday June 25. She has lived in Palm Coast for 34 years.
Her four children celebrated with a dinner party in her honor at Seton Hall.
She has eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Driscoll worked 25 years with elections and volunteered at the Flagler County Library. She plays bridge twice a week, reads and bakes.
+ Flagler Beach student recognized for academic achievement in college
Joseph P. Vitello, of Flagler Beach, was recognized for achieving academic success during the spring semester at Thomas University, in Thomasville, Ga. Thomas University, established in 1950, is a private not-for-profit university of about 1,100 students.
+ Thirteen high school students graduate with AA’s
Ten dual-enrolled students from Flagler Palm Coast High School and three from Matanzas High School have earned their Associate of Arts degrees from Daytona State College. The graduates are as follows: from FPC, Ryan J. Antos, Ella Cheban, Travis W. Cochran, Jandi O. Desinor, Jasmine R. Jacquart, Kimberly A. Lutz, Cheyanne E. Marshall, Lindsey M. McMurray, Yevgeniy Nesteruk and Alyssa L. Tilton; from Matanzas, Christina N. Caputo, Ashley D. Davies and Morgan A. Pearson.
+ Leake, Marino engagement
Chelsea Leake, daughter of Jace and Anita Leake, of Palm Coast, and Anthony Marino, son of Angelo and Debra Marino, of Ormond Beach, recently got engaged at the top of the lighthouse in St. Augustine. Their wedding will be March 23, 2013, at Grand Haven.
