When the deputy arrived at 1 a.m. July 15 in reference to a noise complaint at 32 Ridley Place, the deputy was informed by the owner that he was having a small gathering a couple of friends. That story quickly evaporated.
Thomas J. Entress, 28, was the man who spoke with the deputy from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. During Entress' explanation of the small party, the deputy witnessed multiple people running from the rear of the residence to their vehicles.
One young man, 17 years old, admitted to having consumed alcohol at the party.
Upon entering the residence, the deputy estimated that 80 to 100 people were in attendance at the party, with only a handful being 21 or older. Most were between 16 and 20, including one 16-year-old who admitted to drinking alcohol.
After clearing the people out, the deputy observed a keg in the backyard, multiple tables set up for beer pong and open containers of alcohol. A sign on the refrigerator said “$1 a beer.”
Entress was placed under arrest for hosting an open house party and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility without incident.
FOUR MORE ILLEGAL BOOZE BUSTS
Two days earlier, deputies arrested Rodney Sterling Richardson at the Kangaroo in the Victoria Plaza. According to a report, two juveniles told Richardson they weren’t old enough to buy alcohol, so they gave him $20. He bought them four alcoholic beverages and was arrested.
Three other cases were reported July 13, at least two of which involving teenagers who had cooperated with deputies to catch people who were selling alcohol illegally.
Sam Pritchard, 21; Immanuel Gillispie, 23; and Russell Donald Quash, 47, were all arrested in separate incidents and brought to jail.
