JULY 4
Crash at my place?
12:18 a.m. — 17 Burning Bush Drive. Criminal Mischief. A victim arrived at a friend’s residence at approximately 11:45 p.m. The friend is going through a divorce, and her spouse showed up at the residence at approximately midnight.
The victim and the friend heard pounding on the front door and saw who was there. Moments later, the victim heard a smash and discovered his driver’s side window was broken, with damage estimated at $400. The suspect called several times after the incident, stating that his arm was “messed up” after breaking the window and that he would pay for the damage.
Both the victim and his friend wish to pursue charges for misdemeanor criminal mischief.
JULY 5
Driver swerves through B-section
1:39 a.m. — Butterfield Drive and Buttermill Drive. Drunk Driver. A vehicle traveling on Belle Terre Parkway was observed weaving within the lane and over the white line, almost striking the concrete curb. It then made an un-signaled lane change and a wide right turn onto Burroughs Drive, crossed over into the opposing lane and finally made another wide turn onto Butterfield Drive.
Upon making contact with the driver, the officer observed a strong alcoholic odor emitting from both his person and the vehicle. He failed to pass the field sobriety tasks, and the breath alcohol tested at .175% and .178%. He was provided a Miranda warning and stated he had been traveling home from a bar in Flagler Beach.
Debit in doubt
4:51 p.m. — 21 Zephyr Lily Trail. Fraud. A victim stated that an unknown person had used her debit card and taken money from her account. She also stated she still has her card with her. She does not have duplicate cards and stated that there is no one else who should know her personal identification number.
She received a call from her bank, which determined that two attempts on her debit card were made without her knowledge June 30, one of which was successful.
The victim advised that her card has since been canceled. It is unknown who the suspect is at this time.
