Nikzad Plaza, on Cypress Point Parkway, is set to open its doors in about a month.
Nikzad Plaza, which broke ground at 85 Cypress Point Parkway in December 2010, is scheduled to officially open for business within the month.
According to Jackie Regalia, plaza manager, the Heartland Dental Group, which occupies about 3,000 square feet of the plaza, will open its doors and begin accepting patients in two to four weeks. The Home Furnishing Center, a living and bedroom furniture store currently in its build-out stage, will open in 30 to 60 days.
Those two companies account for three-quarters of the plaza’s space, Regalia added, leaving enough room for one to three more businesses to move in.
“And we’re optimistic that we’ll get tenants to fill that (space), as well,” she said, citing the recent expansion of Florida Hospital Flagler and announcements of Carrabba’s and Zaxby’s coming to Palm Coast.
Regalia feels confident that the local commercial sector is on the rise.
“Obviously things are picking up, as far as business is concerned in the community. And we’re excited about it,” she said. “We just feel like things are moving,”
The plaza is owned by Regalia’s father, Mike Nikzad, who also owns commercial complexes in Maryland and Virginia. To fill the remaining space in their Palm Coast location, the father-daughter pair are targeting franchises. They also have space equipped for a restaurant.
“I think we’ve hit bottom and are on our way up,” Regalia said. “It’s all good. Good stuff happening in Palm Coast.”
