Three Palm Coast teenagers are facing multiple felony charges of burglary of an auto following a series of car break-ins overnight July 11 in the Indian Trails section of Palm Coast, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

D’Shawn Hosang, 16, of the B-section, was arrested July 12 in connection with nine of the break-ins that took place on Beachway, Bradmore and Bracken lanes in Palm Coast. Felony charges of burglary of an auto have been filed against Marcus Chamblin, 17, of the B-section, who is currently being held at the Division of Juvenile Justice in Daytona Beach on unrelated charges. The third teen, Darius Harvey, 16, of the B-section, was arrested Wednesday afternoon.

Sheriff’s Office deputy Nate Smith said the three spent the overnight hours of July 11 and early morning hours of July 12 breaking into vehicles. All three teens may face additional charges as more victims are contacted.

Deputies said in all the burglaries, the vehicles had been left unlocked on the driveways.

The teens stole portable CD players, laptops, portable air compressors, a purse and a cell phone.

The stolen property was located in the attic of Chamblin’s home with the cooperation of his mother, according to deputies.

Hosang and Harvey were arrested and turned over to the DJJ in Daytona Beach. The three teens also face multiple misdemeanor counts of theft.

“These teenagers should have been at home, not on the streets,” Sheriff Donald Fleming said in a statement. “The crimes they have committed are crimes of opportunity. Residents need to remember to lock their vehicles wherever they are being parked. This is one of those good habits to acquire.”
