+ Palm Coast teens charged: multiple vehicle break-ins
D’Shawn Hosang, 16, of the B-section, was arrested July 12 in connection with nine car break-ins that took place July 11, on Beachway, Bradmore and Bracken lanes, in Palm Coast. Felony charges have also been filed against Marcus Chamblin, 17. The third teen to participate in the break-ins was Darius Harvey, 16.
Deputies said that, in all of the burglaries, the vehicles had been left unlocked. The teens stole portable CD players, laptops, portable air compressors, a purse and a cell phone, all of which was found in the attic of Chamblin’s home, with the cooperation of his mother.
The teens may face additional charges as more victims are contacted.

Sheriff’s Office deputies visited the R-section home of Quinten Scarbor, 25, July 13, in reference to an active warrant out of Jacksonville.
When deputies arrived at the home and identified themselves, Scarbor ran from his back porch to the front of the home. K-9 Reno was ordered to give chase, and the dog was eventually able to apprehend Scarbor in the front yard of a neighbor’s home.
“While the defendant was being apprehended by K-9 Reno, (Scarbor) was actively fighting him, striking (Reno) multiple times,” the arresting deputy wrote in his report.
Another deputy then deployed his Taser and Scarbor was placed into custody. K-9 Reno was not injured.
Scarbor was transferred to the Flagler County Inmate Facility on $3,000 bond.
